Google Search Console, read properly
Search Console is Google’s own report on your website: what you rank for, which pages it has indexed & what’s broken. It’s free, & most golf businesses either haven’t set it up or never look at it.

What we do with it
Proper verification
A domain property verified through DNS, so every version of your site is covered in one place.
Sitemaps
Your sitemap submitted & checked, so Google finds new pages, products & articles quickly.
Indexing watch
Pages left out of Google, broken links, redirect errors & stray noindex tags, found & fixed.
Searches & clicks
The exact searches you appear for, & page titles rewritten where you’re seen but not clicked.
Page speed
Core Web Vitals from real visitors’ devices, so we fix the pages golfers actually find slow.
Linked up
Connected to GA4 & Google Ads, so you can see paid & organic results for the same searches side by side.
Why it matters
Caught on launch day
When a golf client’s new website went live, our go-live checks spotted a leftover sitewide noindex tag: the setting that tells Google to leave every page out of search. Because we were watching from day one, it could be removed straight away.
Bing too
We also set up Bing Webmaster Tools, which can import your Search Console setup in a few clicks.
It matters for AI search, because Microsoft Copilot runs on Bing.
Search Console questions
Isn’t this the same as Google Analytics?
No. Search Console shows what happens in Google before the click: searches, rankings & indexing. GA4 shows what happens on your site after it. You need both.
How often do you check it?
After every launch or major change, & as part of your monthly report, so problems are found before they cost you rankings.
Who should own the account?
Your business. We recommend verifying it under your own Google account & adding us as users.
